Rick Rubin is a record producer, co-founder of Def Jam
Recordings, founder of American Recordings, and former co-president of Columbia Records. He was recently interviewed and featured in 60
minutes with Anderson Cooper.
He is most famous for producing records for the Bestie Boys,
Run-DMC, LL Cool J, and Public Enemy.
In his interview with Anderson Cooper, Rick is soft-spoken
with a humble appearance and attitude when he says he can’t barely plays any
instruments and have no technical ability.
“I know nothing about music, “said Rick.
What makes him so good at his craft? He is decisive and passionate about what he
likes and not. He is confident in his astute
taste in music, and he stands by what he likes and doesn’t like.
Rick doesn’t care about being smart about knowing all the
history of music or playing every instrument out there. He is passionate about his love for the kind
of music he loves and he loves producing music for bands or solo artists for
others to enjoy. So what probably drives Rick is instincts and intuition.
Wayne Gretzky is a Canadian and former ice hockey who’s
nicknamed “The Great One” was smaller in size and strength. Growing up with three brothers and a sister,
he loves ice hockey more than his brothers and he just wanted to be the best. So, he practices more. Wayne was good at reading the game and anticipating
the other player's moves.
